Opals are a medium size isopod species but are not very easy to take care of. Since they are a more difficult species they are not great for bioactive setups and are better as pets.

CARE INFORMATION

They require a high humidity environment and should be watered and fed twice a week. They eat yams or any root vegetables and fish food.

My Cubaris Opal sp. arrived safe and sound, all the way from Sacramento to Pennsylvania! I’m beyond happy with my purchase. I was pleasantly surprised by how active they are—unlike my other *Cubaris* species, which are always hiding, these little guys were so friendly right from the start! I’m already considering getting more because I love them so much. 10/10—excellent seller!
