P. Spatsplatus are a large size isopod species and are fairly easy to take care of. They are great for bioactive setups and as pets.

They require a low humidity environment and should be watered and fed once a week. They eat yams or any root vegetables and fish food.

Half didn't make it :(

It seems Spatsplatus do not travel well.

Though they were packaged very nicely, arrived very quickly, were shipped during fair weather, and the other isopods and millipedes in the same package arrived alive and well, five of the ten Spatsplatus arrived dead.
Two of the five attempted to molt in shipping, two more were dead of unknown causes, and the fifth was near death and his condition did not improve when placed in his new habitat.

Two more molted an hour after being brought to their new habitat, and thankfully they were successful. The five who arrived alive are doing well. Very sedentary species, they all like sitting in one spot together.
